An azimuth indicator, also known as an azimuth gyro or heading indicator, is a navigational instrument used in aircraft and marine vessels to display the aircraft or vessel’s heading or direction relative to the Earth’s magnetic north. It provides pilots and navigators with real-time information about their orientation and helps them maintain the correct heading during flight or navigation.
The azimuth indicator typically consists of a compass card or gyrocompass mounted inside a housing. The compass card or gyrocompass is oriented in such a way that it aligns with the Earth’s magnetic field or the gyroscopic effect, depending on the type of azimuth indicator.
Our team of experts do their best
Our team comprises highly skilled engineers, technicians, and manufacturing experts who possess a deep understanding of advanced technologies and cutting-edge techniques.
01
USER SPECIFICATIONS
The requirements of the customer are understood based on the application of the azimuth indicators. Accordingly the materials and dimensions are finalised
02
DESIGN
Based on IS standards and quality benchmarks, azimuth indicators are designed as per the customer requirements
03
MACHINING
Post design, the components are machined and bought out hardware is assembled together. Respective stickers are then added to the indicators
04
TEST & DISPATCH
Post assembly of the machined components, factory acceptance test is done at the manufacturing facility, before it is dispatched to the client and installed
